Hello,
Are you able to play your video on your computer using VLC, for example, or the default video player on your computer?
What is the size of your file?
Can you explain how you are trying to send your video?
Best regards

My file is 3.55 MB and I am trying to upload it to my high school's site via ecole directe.
The video only opens with Filmora.

3.55 MB is certainly not a substantial video file. If it's that size, it must only last a few seconds...
I think you saved the project instead of the video: the proof being that you can only open it with Filmora and not VLC...
What duration is your video supposed to have?
To export as a video file, see here for example: https://filmora.wondershare.fr/guide-mac/save-n-share.html
After that, I don't know Ecole Directe, nor how this site works. Maybe the files you can send must have a maximum size, so they shouldn't be "large" or too lengthy... but I'm just speculating...
