HP printer installation problem

Hello,

Recently, I had a virus issue, so I reset my Mac.
But I can't reinstall my HP printer:
- when I try to connect it via AirPrint, I get this error message: "An error occurred while trying to add the selected device. Bad file descriptor "
- when I try to connect it via USB, I get this error message: "Cannot install this software because it is not currently available from the software update server. "

I have already tried Apple's help to reset the printing system and
I reinstalled all the drivers and software available for my printer from the HP website,
but nothing works, I still get the same error messages.

Does anyone have any idea to help me?

Configuration: Macintosh / Safari 13.0.3

    Hello,
To hope for help, you should specify the exact model of your printer as well as your version of Mac OS X.

    Hello,

From the Apple menu/System Preferences/Printers and Scanners, what do you see in the left window?
If a printer is listed, select it and then click on the minus sign ( - ) at the bottom to remove it, confirm, then click on the plus sign (+) to add a printer, yours being turned on and connected should appear in the choice window, confirm, let it do its thing and your printer should be listed in the left window with a green indicator, it is then operational.

    Best regards

    PS: Hi Ritchi ;)

When it's urgent, it's already too late (Talleyrand)
When everything has failed, read the manual ;)

Hello, thank you for your response,

However, that's exactly what I did but this message appears: "An error occurred while trying to add the selected device. Bad file descriptor."

So this printer is not on the list of printers provided by Apple. Strange!
Did the reset performed and described in the first message change the Mac's operating system? (exact model?) If so, what was the previous system?

    The operating system hasn't changed.
    It's a MacBook Pro from early 2015.

However, before the reset, the printer was installed and everything was working very well..
