Hello,
Since this morning, my MS Money won't open anymore. Once the password is entered, the application disappears. I tried opening it with my backup on the USB drive, it's the same issue.
Does anyone have a solution? I'm in trouble...
It's an old version updated with MS Money 2005.
Thank you,
Gabrielle
Configuration: Windows / Chrome 78.0.3904.108

Hello ...
The image is quite blurry and I can't read the Smartscreen message ..
as well as the background behind the Smartscreen image
Can you detail it
At what point do you get this message?
Edit ► I suggest you disable SmartScreen, which isn't very useful, to check if the message persists ► See here
You can reactivate it if everything is fine afterwards
See you later

Good evening and thank you for taking the time for me. The message says: "Smartscreen is currently unavailable, please check your internet connection." After that, it offers me the option to run or not to run. (My connection is very good).
I also have a message from Microsoft Money that says: "Are you sure you want to uninstall? You will not be able to reinstall it later."
Have a good evening, and again, it's nice of you to help me.

Good evening ......
If Smartscreen is causing issues, you can disable it as indicated above
and then you can reactivate it afterwards
I assume you are using Revo Uninstaller as stated above to uninstall MsMoney, and if so, you can proceed with the uninstallation
Have you made sure to keep your latest backup safe to restart MsMoney 2005?
See my screenshot below
You probably don't have the same picture as mine because I personally have the pro version of Revo Uninstaller, but the principle is the same ..
You click on uninstall, you accept, and then you let Revo do its job by answering yes until the end to remove everything properly, and then you move on to the next steps....
To reinstall MsMoney, you will use the link I provided earlier
Talk to you later.

Hello ...
Thank you for the response and especially happy for you if everything is alright!
You can now give Christmas gifts now that MsMoney is working...
I mark the subject as resolved
Happy end-of-year festivities and see you soon, maybe
Best regards

Your instructions are very clear. Can I follow them knowing that I no longer have the installation CD? It was an old Office package updated online (without CD) around 2005.
Thank you and have a good evening
Gab
The link I pasted above is actually a copy of an installation CD for MsMoney 2005 (the last version), so there should be no problem reinstalling after following the uninstallation instructions carefully!
As you know, MsMoney hasn't been updated for a very long time, and over the updates of Windows, MsMoney encounters issues. Personally, the only remedy I found that works in almost all cases is to uninstall it and then reinstall it, and it should work again ....
Looking forward to your upcoming comments.... But if none ► Resolved
Thanks and have a good evening.
Thank you for the feedback
In principle, there should be no reason for it not to work unless your issue comes from the password, but I don't think so ...
As mentioned earlier, the "pasted" link above is a copy of my MsMoney 2005 CD, so even if you don't have a CD, the link replaces it
Talk soon for the result
Best regards
