    Hello,
if you're trying to update the Office 2003 package and it's not installing, it's very likely that one of the two doesn't have an up-to-date license.

How is it downloading? Is it Office that is downloading or Windows?

And what is the error message? If there is one, but under Windows there is probably one.

    Good evening,

I have exactly the same problem with updates; the installation cannot proceed because "the component you are trying to use is on a CD-ROM" which unfortunately I do not have since everything was pre-installed when I bought my PC.
Could someone tell me if we can find this CD on the market?
    Thank you in advance.

I don't know if you found a solution to the installation problem with the Pack 3 update?

I didn't have the installation CD, so I couldn't finish the installation. In fact, you just need to download the full version "OfficeXpSp3-kb832671-fullfile-fra.exe" from the following address:
    http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=85AF7BFD-6F69-4289-8BD1-EB966BCDFB5E&displaylang=en

    It works!

    Hello,
As for me, it's not the Office pack that's the issue since I have Office 2007, but rather the Service Pack 3 for Windows XP Pro.
I get this error message about a file being missing.
Is it possible to create it manually?

    Hello

you just need to insert the official or works CD into the drive for the installation to go well.

Hello, I have almost the same problem,
the SP3 update is requesting to be installed and it says that I need the Office XP FrontPage CD that I do not have.
If someone could help me, that would be nice!!
    Thanks in advance.

I have the same problem with Office XP Service Pack 3, even though I'm running Vista and this update won't leave me alone while I don't have the XP Pro CD since I'm on Vista.

For those who don't know, here is an open source (therefore free: "<a href='https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Open-source' target='_blank' rel='nofollow noopener noreferrer'>https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Open-source</a>") alternative to Mico$oft Office: OpenOffice. <br /> <br /> With this office suite, you have the same tools and the formats are compatible (you will be able to modify your old Word, Excel, PowerPoint documents, etc...). <br /> <br /> <br /> Download from the OpenOffice site in French: "<a href='http://fr.openoffice.org/'>http://fr.openoffice.org/</a>". <br /> <br /> <br /> Happy uninstallation of Mico$oft Office. <br /> And if, like me, you appreciate OpenOffice, spread the word. <br /> <br /> Kenavo!

Before discussing difficult issues, could you all try to write in a readable way, please? And without spelling mistakes, if that's not too much to ask?
One thing: proofread your text before sending it...

I'm not going to move the schmilblick forward, but I'm having the same problem with the STD.MSI file which doesn't appear on my system, and the Microsoft hotline told me not to update by phone (in case it costs them a euro!) and to contact my vendor.

    They're something at Microsoft!!
