So, I just tested with my smartphone and its cable, and it works very well. I can't do it with my tablet's cable, it's not the same connector.
For my tablet, I have its own cable. which means I need, I think, another Samsung cable. for the moment I'm unable to test.

But if the tablet charges with its own cable, can it have a USB connection issue?

A quick clarification please.

To transfer files from my PC to the tablet, do both need to be connected to the router?
Because if the answer is "yes," that might be the problem. The tablet is not connected from my room, as the Wi-Fi doesn't reach there due to the distance and the thickness of the walls.
