Pioneer Subwoofer - wx50a

Hello,

I’m coming to this forum because I don’t know anything about electronics

I have a Pioneer ts-wx50A subwoofer (to fit into a spare tire)

I don’t understand why it doesn’t work; whenever I listen to music in my car, the sound only comes from the speakers and the subwoofer doesn’t receive any signal—it doesn’t turn on at all. However, I’ve connected everything properly behind my car radio, but nothing works. Can you please help me?

Configuration: iPhone / Safari 13.0.1

Do you not have a 12V connection to the battery? On your box? Okay for the blue cable (remote) which should be on your head unit, but a positive must go to the battery (with a fuse as close to the battery as possible) and as you said, a ground in the trunk (but make sure it's not covered in paint).

Thank you for the advice, but I don't know how to proceed.
I remember not connecting directly to my battery, but I don't know why it isn't working.

    Good evening,
If the "Power" light does not turn on, it means it is not powered, you will need to check your wiring according to the manual

    Good evening
I no longer have the manual; it's a subwoofer that was given to me and that I installed in my other car, which I no longer have, and I've reinstalled it in my new one. However, the power button does not turn on. I remember not having powered it from the battery but from the car radio. Then, I know that I fixed it to my ground in the trunk.

    I don’t understand.

I did what I could, do a search for the manual at Pioneer.

    Let's do a simple test.
If your cigarette lighter works, connect the red wire with fuse holder to the positive of the cigarette lighter (not to its lighting).
Test if your subwoofer works now with your stereo.
If it doesn't work, check your ground which must be in direct contact with metal, so without paint, and the fuse of the fuse holder of the red wire from the subwoofer.

Make sure to carefully check the user manual provided by Andy31200.

Yes, I think it must surely be due to the ground point, because there is a bit of paint on the nut of the trunk, I will try to scrape it off to remove this paint on the ground point, does the notch on the wire that is in contact with the ground point and is also rusted?

      Is it due to that?
