Hello,
I own a "JVC KW-M25BT" car radio.
Since yesterday, I've been trying to connect my "ALPINE SGB-30" subwoofer. Without success, and this isn't my first attempt.
I've connected my power supply properly.
I've sanded the paint at my ground connection.
I've checked with a multimeter that current is flowing, and everything is okay.
I think my problem might be with the remote...
There's a wire named "remote" (sky blue and yellow) behind the car radio that I've connected to the remote for my subwoofer. But it's not working.
For your information, my car is a VW TOURAN.
Does anyone have a solution or has anyone encountered this situation before?
Thank you.

Hello and welcome to this forum,
This "Remote" connection has nothing to do with your subwoofer but is possibly used to connect steering wheel controls

Hello, thank you very much! Alright, I will try to plug it into the blue and white remote.
-
No, you did not understand, remote blue/white corresponds to the volume control on the steering wheel
Your subwoofer must be connected to the "subwoofer preamp" jack after removing the cap

Oh, okay, I saw that there was a 'subwoofer' cable, but I've never seen one before. What do I need to connect? It looks like an RCA cable except there's only one input.. sorry but I’m at a loss here ????
What exactly should I connect to this 'subwoofer' connection? -
If it's a simple RCA, just connect your subwoofer to it; it’s normal that there’s only one output.
But it's also possible that it’s a digital optical output:

Sure, I'll try that as soon as I get home! Thanks for the quick response! I'll get back to you if there's any issue. Thank you ????

You're welcome, and yes, feel free to come back and give news or if you have any other questions.

I haven't tested it yet, but a question comes to mind! Sorry, I know it might be a bit annoying.
RCA output from my subwoofer amplifier (red and white) is already connected behind the head unit, so the connection that needs to be made is "subwoofer" (behind the head unit) to the amplifier in RCA. But my amplifier doesn't have room to accommodate a third RCA... sorry if I seem bothersome, but I need to understand. -
"RCA output from my subwoofer amplifier (red white)"
Shouldn't you be talking about inputs instead of outputs?

Yes, input rather,
The RCA outputs (red white) go to the RCA inputs of my amplifier
On the other hand, the "subwoofer" RCA output from the car radio has only one, so I don't know where to connect it on my amplifier :S -
Alright, so to get back to my remote issue, I'm going to try connecting it to the blue and white wire and it should work, right????

If you don't have a volume control on the steering wheel, forget it

I managed to get the subwoofer to work when I connected the remote (from the RCA) to +12v
Problem: the subwoofer won't turn off anymore, lol
So I unplugged it to avoid draining my battery!
