Help with connecting the JBL subwoofer

Hello everyone, I'm new to the site which I find very useful.
I own a JBL GT5 1204BR subwoofer with a set of cables.
Since I'm not very knowledgeable about electricity, I would appreciate some guidance on the connection devices (I've been told that the red power cable should be connected to the battery—can it be directly connected to a 12v socket that I have in my trunk?) and also some tips on how to run the cables from the trunk to the driver's cabin.
I have an Alfa Romeo GT if that helps, and I can take photos so you can better inform me.
Thank you in advance for your future replies,
Best regards.

Uh, you need a mono amplifier or a 2-channel one to run the sub

For the wiring, you need a + going from the battery with a fuse holder

And for the -, you connect to the ground (on a bolt of your chassis)

    And also RCA cables

    What radio do you have?

I found two people who have already done it:

    On the Engine Side:

We calculated, and by lubricating the cables, we can fit three 50mm, but first, you need to remove a rubber piece (it can be removed by hand without force).
In the photo, there’s one 35mm and one 50mm

Here’s how to land the cables inside (here, you can fit three 50mm cables without lubricating, though).

To enlarge, you simply need to cut with a knife because behind this foam, there’s rubber, but it doesn’t come off; just cut as if you were making a plus sign and push it with your fingers, and the rubber will simply take the shape!

Now, here’s where the power cables land!

    Right behind the glove box!

    and

    -Open the hood
-Remove the three screws holding the plastic piece under the passenger side windshield wiper.
    -Unclip it.
-Underneath, you see the sheet metal, and in this sheet metal, there’s a large rubber plug 5cm in diameter.
-Drill through it; behind there's a kind of carpet.
    -Run your cable through

And you will see it come out behind the glove box; you may need to remove it for peace of mind!

      Good evening,

We have a 12 mm cable that we can't get through; we've tried through the doors and everything.

We also have an Alfa Romeo GT.

So, you're saying that we need to remove the plastic cover near the windshield wipers and then we find a round plastic piece, is that correct?

      Thank you.

Thank you, Kevin, for all this information. I'll try all that and keep you updated.
Just one thing, I connect the ground to a bolt on the trunk's body, right?
And to connect the cable to the battery, do we need to disconnect it or remove it?
    Thank you very much.

Yes, you definitely need to put on a mass bolt by properly sanding the paint.

Uh, I didn't understand that: And to connect the cable to the battery, do we need to disconnect it or remove it?

To connect the power cable to the + of the battery, should we disconnect the battery during the manipulation?

No, as long as you don't put the fuse in the fuse holder, you won't have any problems. To connect the ground cable for the amp, attach it to the grounding point in the trunk by sanding off the paint to expose the bare metal. Only after connecting the cables to the amp can you put the fuse in the fuse holder.

no, it's not mandatory, just be careful that the cable must not come into contact with the bodywork

did you get this amp with the sub?

it will never be able to drive the sub, the sound quality will be very poor, I advise you to change this amp

Hello, after running the cables behind the junction box, where should I go to connect to the trunk? Through the door? Under the carpet?
    Thank you in advance.

      hi

there is a cover between the carpet and the door that either clips in or screws in, so you remove this cover and run your RCA cables and the blue remote wire, and you run the big red cable to the other side, actually on the battery side, to avoid interference.
