Hello,

here I just noticed in my task manager, Performance tab, it says 2 cores and 4 logical processors.

But my processor is an fx 4300 quad core...

In the monitor and in the BIOS I do have my 4 cores,

So why does the task manager tell me I only have 2... ?

I already enabled the 4 with msconfig. But that didn’t change anything

Thanks in advance

    Hello,

The FX from AMD are in a special framework; they operate in modules of 2 cores sharing the same resources (2 cores for the same resources of a single one). They are not truly independent cores, which is why they are sometimes compared to Intel's hyper-threading with certain software.

So it's normal, it's not a problem at the processor level.
