Issue reading Cam Sat HD 441651 module on LG TV
Hello,
I have a LG 55LA965V from 2014, a CI+ 1.3 HD satellite CAM module from 2016, a PC5 card and now a PC6. Everything worked well for almost three years, and suddenly there is no image or sound with the PC5 card. After replacing it, the same problem occurred. But instead of no signal, it shows “paid or encrypted channel.”
When testing with an old Essentiel B decoder, both the PC5 and PC6 cards work fine.
Does my TV or the module have a problem?
Configuration: Windows / Chrome 78.0.3904.70

Hello and welcome to this forum,
The TV has an issue, try unplugging everything, HDMI cables, antenna, and power supply, wait five minutes and plug it back in.
If there’s no result and if you have access to the menu, do a "reset" or "factory settings reset" or "initial setup" (see menu) but you will have to redo all the installation and settings.

Hello,
Thank you for your response.
I just tried the first solution by unplugging all the cables and everything, including the TV, and after waiting for more than 10 minutes, I only replugged the CI+ module, the antenna cable, and the TV plug.
And well, nothing, still the same problem.
I noticed that if the module is connected before I turn on the TV, it shows "No signal" and I have no information on the program being broadcast by the channel.
Whereas if I connect the module with the TV on, it gives me the program information, date, and time. However, it tells me it's a pay channel.
Not being at home for several days, I will try the other solution when I return. -
And also:
Not simple but if it doesn't work try this:
Turn on the TV, take out the card, turn off and unplug the TV,
- gently rub the card chip on a piece of clothing,
- turn the TV back on, let it fully restart,
- reinsert the card, perform a factory reset, turn it off,
- then unplug for 1 to 2 minutes, then plug it back in and reinstall the TV

Good evening,
I am back home and I will be able to try your latest proposal.
During my trip, I explained my problem to a customer service representative who told me that I needed to update my TV before anything else. That the problem could be due to a possible update not being performed on my TV, which is not connected to the internet, while according to the customer service representative, my module updates itself automatically via satellite.
Could this be an answer to the problem? -
Yes, it can, I have an LG and somewhere in the menu "Auto update" a window opens, click on "Check" it will first display "Network" but since your TV is not connected to the internet, it will eventually switch to "DTV Channels" and scan all the satellite channels...
But I couldn't find it in your TV manual

But I think this can also be done via USB drive download
See here guide:

Thank you for the links. I just did the update and well, no better.
The problem remains the same.
So I will now try your last suggestion, as I quote you:
''- Turn on the TV, remove the card, turn off and unplug the TV,
- lightly rub the card chip on a piece of clothing,
- turn the TV back on, let it completely restart,
- reinsert the card, perform a factory reset by turning it off,
- then unplug for 1 to 2 minutes, then plug it back in and reinstall the TV.'' -

The photos are those taken before the factory reset.
After searching through the menus, I was able to correctly set the value of the transponder, which was missing after the factory reset. So I have my channel list back. However, there has been no change regarding my initial issue.
Even when returning to factory settings, the TV still recognizes my module. I didn't have to reinstall it. Strange, isn't it?
Previously, when I turned on the TV, it would indicate, just before the image appeared, "CI+ module authentication." And since my issue, this message no longer appears.
