Hello,

Hello,
We live in the UK and recently bought a Technomate decoder in order to connect to Astra and watch foreign channels, including German and French ones. This unique decoder was supposed to replace the French decoder (I think it was Strong) and the German one we had before (where everything worked very well).
While I can perfectly see the German channels on Technomate, almost all the free-access French channels are blocked. I have recently renewed my TNT Sat card.
The Technomate customer service tells me that a common interface module might be necessary to use the TNT Sat card. I tried to contact TNT Sat, but their customer service is non-existent, and I only receive an automatic reply with options that do not correspond to my problem. I tried to find an answer on this forum but without success. Do I need a CI module with my TNT Sat card, and if so, which one? Thank you.

Configuration: Windows / Firefox 50.0

I don't understand how you could buy a card alone...
With your terminal, you will only receive free channels because, even with a valid card, it will not be able to decrypt.
    - With a TNT SAT decoder, you will receive channels from French terrestrial TNT without having to subscribe to anything; the card is to be renewed every 4 years for €15, a decoder + card = about €100.
    - Another solution, if you can reorient your satellite dish to Eutelsat 5° West, would be to switch to "Fransat," which has better quality than TNT SAT and is not validated by the CSA.
Moreover, the card is unlimited and provided with the terminal while it is paid and needs to be renewed every four years with TNT SAT.
You will also receive, in addition to the 25 TNT channels, TV5 Monde, Kto, and regional channels, and the option to subscribe to paid channels like Bein Sport, télé mélodie, bouquet Bis TV. See here:

The decoders + card are also sold for €100.
The decoders and modules are here, for example:

Another advantage, if the TV is equipped with a satellite tuner and a CI+ Fransat labeled PCMCIA interface, you can do without a decoder => no more cable, better quality, and just one remote control. Canal refuses this interesting solution by not selling a module + card; they require an external terminal labeled Canal.
