Laptop Asus processor change

Hello everyone,
I have a technical question.
I would like to replace the current processor of my Asus X75VD1 laptop (Intel Pentium B980 2.40GHz) with an Intel Core i3-2370M 2.40GHz. I think it might work because this processor is available in the same model’s computer (Asus X75VD-TY082V).
But before buying, I’d like your opinion on potential issues. Also on potential performance gains (moving to 4 threads, more cache, etc).
Thank you for your help!

PS: I got this PC second-hand and I’m in the upgrading phase (I already swapped the HDD for an SSD, added 4GB of RAM, replaced the battery + keyboard). I’d like it to run games like Fortnite, GTA V, Overwatch, even on Low settings.

Hello,
after a search/scan of my laptop, I found out that the processor is not soldered. It is even easily replaceable.
I also did a benchmark on GTA V yesterday and I found out that with everything set to low the CPU is at 100% while the GPU runs around 90%.
Thanks a lot.

What is a graphics card? Because given the year, already Fortnite, you can forget it, you absolutely need DX 12 support and other games... It's going to lag...
Especially since I think GTA V ran fine on its own? So 800 x 600 resolution as usual?

It's an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 610M 1GB. Sure, it's still relatively weak but it holds up.
Regarding Fortnite, I'm not sure if DirectX 10 support has been dropped. On my main PC I play with a graphics card from 2011, so it doesn't support DirectX 11, and yet the game is ugly to look at but it runs perfectly.
Don't worry about the graphics part, it holds up for playing GTA V on low with a resolution of 1280x720.
Thanks for your help

A Nvidia 610M is far from being sufficient; it's a big weakness for recent games. I don't see much point in playing with a pixel mush in low 720p in slideshow mode. As for DirectX11, it has existed since late 2009 since the release of the ATI Radeon HD5000 series... I know because I already played on PC at that time.

The GT (and not GTX) 610M is roughly as powerful as an IGP... And it supports DX 11. But well, for old games like Age of Empires or The Sims, up to 3, at most, why not, but not for big games...
