Hello,
I have two PCs, the first one not connected to the Internet and only used as a word processor, the second one connected to the Internet. Both are running on Windows 10.
I followed the procedure indicated under NETPLWIZ to remove the password on startup of my PC. On the first one, it works. On the second one, at startup, a message appears: "We are unable to log you in at this time, Please check and try again later." Below this message is an "OK" button that I click,
Then two accounts are displayed at the bottom left!! And it’s the one underneath that is selected by the system, with my first name truncated to "gerar"! From this account, I can't open a session, so I select the first account and enter my original password, and it works!!
I therefore wanted to remove this password feature, and the problem got worse!!
Can you tell me what to do to get out of this mess?
I should mention that my partner's computer has the same issue after performing the same procedure.
Thank you for your response.
Best regards,
Gérard

I performed the maneuver but it doesn't change anything. Where does this second account with my name come from, but for which I don't have the password?
On the other hand, I recommend having two administrator accounts, one of which should be a local account (not a Microsoft account).
It will serve as a backup.
See the following page to add one: how to add an administrator user on Windows.
