Hello,
I am recording programs from free TNT through a CGV decoder purchased in March 2015 onto a 16 Gb USB stick.
I have very nice images, but............no sound when playing back on the computer, neither with Windows Media Player nor with VLC.
When I play it back on the television, directly connected to the set, I have sound and image.
So, in your opinion, what is the problem?
Thank you for your future response.

Configuration: Windows / Firefox 69.0

Hello,
A video recording consists of several things:
- a container format: .mp4, .avi, .mkv ... coming from a TNT streaming it should be .ts or .m2ts
- a video track (sometimes multiple) that will have a format, H264, MPEG, ...
- an audio track, often several, in a MPEG, AAC format, ...
- one or more subtitle tracks
- one or more audio description tracks
In VLC you should open a file and under Tools/Codec Information you will have the components of your video
And in Audio/Audio Track, you can select an audio track, there may not be one by default, or the default may not be recognized on your PC.
Best regards

Hello,
DTT (in France) is broadcast in DOLBY Digital Plus (for sound), your adapter and your TV are equipped for it, but your media player is not. However, VLC should be able to have the right DD+ codec.
