USB stick issue on TNT decoder

Hello,

I purchased an AMTC DT180R TNT decoder.
The problem is that whenever I try to use the USB port to view video or image files, I always get the same message: "The device is not ready."

My USB key has been formatted in FAT and FAT32.

What should I do?

Configuration: Windows XP / Firefox 3.6.13

Hello
when you plug a USB stick into an external TNT box, the "plug and play" function occurs that you know and lasts a few seconds. A message briefly appears on the screen, and some USB sticks blink because they have an activation LED. From there, you enter the TNT demo menu where there is a programmed recording function "TIMER" and/or a direct recording function, with some settings to adjust: the channel and the duration of the program to be recorded.
Manufacturers generally call this operation PVR (visible in the MENU)
two options:
- either your USB stick is set to "read-only" if originally formatted in NTFS, and in this case, a simple test can be carried out to check READ: you put a .avi video file (with your computer) or another on the stick that you play using the VIDEO mode of your box on the TV
- or you have formatted your USB stick in FAT 32 and then you can record on it and read it afterwards for sure
cheers

Hello,

Yes, the decoder is capable of recording.
It is specified in the manual that the USB drive must be formatted in FAT or FAT32.
The manual does not specify how to activate the USB function. I imagine it must be plug and play.
In any case, it's really strange that the USB drive does not seem to be recognized.

Hello Formatting a USB key in FAT 32 is for saving!
Is your TNT demo capable of that? (see manual) Otherwise, it should be able to read Photo files or maybe video files (avi or mpeg2), but generally, you have to go through the MENU to enable that function (always refer to the manual)
The recognition of the USB key takes a short moment as soon as you insert it hot (device on) and a short acceptance message appears on the screen.
