Instagram bug? How do I change my profile picture? Solved

Hello,

It has now been two weeks since I have been unable to change my profile picture. I have tried everything, from uninstalling and reinstalling the app to logging out and logging back in, but nothing works. Every time I try to change it, a message appears saying "ERROR. We could not update the profile picture. Please make sure you have an internet connection before trying again."
Am I the only one experiencing this issue? How could I resolve it?

Configuration: iPhone / Safari 13.0.1

Good evening, I just had the problem. I was able to change the profile picture by logging into Insta with the internet browser and not in the app.

I had the same problem, and I solved it by shortening my bio that was too long for Instagram on my phone, even though it worked on my computer... ????

Anyway, I realized this when I tried to delete my profile picture and clicked "finish," and then the error message was different and informed me that my bio was too long (even though I hadn't changed it). So problem solved!

You just need to remove your bio before changing the photo! Once done, you can put it back and shorten it if it exceeds 150 characters.
