Hello,

I don't understand where this problem is coming from, what is this white line in the middle of the screen? It appeared out of nowhere, I haven't done any manipulation, the laptop hasn't received any shock.
Is it serious and can it get worse?
What should I do?
I would like to know the nature of the issue please

    Hello,

What year is your MacBook Pro? It seems that a series had this kind of screen defect, rather than a graphics card issue. Maybe you should contact Apple or an authorized service center to find out more.

It was made in 2008, but I didn't buy it right when it was released, but a few years later.
Is this the series in question?
Do you have any advice to give me to prevent it from getting worse? I don't think they'll reply to me on a Sunday.

      Thank you again.

No, they won't respond, and especially, given the age of the Mac, other than finding a screen in a spare parts service and a technician to replace it... furthermore, the cost of the operation would be more expensive than the value of your Mac or buying a similar model, used, that is newer.
Just leave it be and see what happens.
