Hello,

Since this morning, I have been unable to scan a document with my Canon TS5020 printer.

However, everything was fine yesterday; does anyone have a solution to my problem...?
I can print and make copies without any issues.

Thank you for your help.

After entering the information in the printer window, it says this:
processing in progress, please wait a moment
that's it
before, when it was working, I could see on the computer screen, a small window that was scrolling...

the message remains displayed for about 25 to 30 seconds on the printer.

Do you hear the scanner cart moving?
How is the printer connected (USB, WIFI)?

You need to describe the problem (without being sure that there is a solution).
Is it the scanning that is not happening or the transmission to the computer?

Hello

Maybe a solution:
Go to the Start menu and find Canon Utilities. Expand.
Click on Canon IJ Network Scanner Selector EX.
Close the window that opened and try scanning.

negative result... I'm wondering if I should just put in the Canon installation CD and reinstall everything...
Is there a procedure to follow for reinstalling... my printer... it seems to me that I had issues during the initial installation... it worries me a bit to have to do it...
What I find strange is that I can print and make copies without any problem...

You can try to reinstall everything since you have the CD. It's not very difficult.
You start by uninstalling everything that may have been installed except for utility software like My Image Garden.
Right-click on the Start button and in the list click on Settings.
Then click on Devices.
In the next window, click on Printers & scanners in the left column.
You have the list of devices displayed. You can recognize the Canon devices.
Click on each of the relevant devices and choose Remove.

I tried with VueScan and it tells me that VueScan did not find any scanner connected to my computer.

I finally reinstalled the printer software

the problem is resolved, I would say to 50% because I can only scan by clicking on the printer icon installed on the desktop.
I would like to scan from the printer again, as I did at the beginning;
after inserting the document to be scanned into the printer,
1-I choose scan, ok
2-save to computer, ok
3-automatic scan, ok
4-document
5-start
it is mentioned on the printer screen, "processing, please wait a moment"… but I don't hear the printer carriage and nothing is saved to the computer like before, when it was working normally.

Thank you all for your help.
