Is it possible to connect one PS4 to two TVs?

Hello,

small technical question!
my PS4 is usually in the living room on the main TV for the whole family, but from time to time I unplug the PS4 to take it upstairs to connect it to a second TV which is used with a seat/wheel setup for racing simulations! (my wife is not thrilled about having all this in the living room lol)

my question is quite "simple" ;-) and I suppose you see where I’m going with this :-)

is there a way to leave the PS4 downstairs and connect it to both screens? and of course to also enjoy the wheel ;-) the goal is not to play on both TVs at the same time!

a small detail that may help, there is a cable management duct in the wall between the TV downstairs and the one upstairs.

I guess there are definitely HDMI splitters to connect the PS4 output to both TVs? and then a USB extension to connect the PS4 to a USB hub upstairs...

well, that’s my carefree version of an easy setup :-) does anyone more technical have an idea if this is possible? and if so, how to achieve it?

thanks in advance

Configuration: Windows / Chrome 76.0.3809.100

    Hi,

“Distributor” no, that would create a huge mess in the signal.

Moreover, it all depends on the distance. For USB, you need less than 5m between the console and the device, otherwise, it won't work much... and 3m if it's 3.0.

For HDMI, you'll probably have fewer issues by changing the connector at the back of the console... Because a switch might cause problems with DRM and such every now and then. Although it might work... but, again, with a distance limit; beyond 10m, you risk having losses or issues...

thank you for taking the time to reply to me
I was thinking it was too simple compared to what I imagined for the installation!
the room upstairs is just above the living room so basically, there are 3-4m at most between the console downstairs and the screen upstairs but if there is a loss with such a small distance it could be complicated indeed

so the solution is a second console? ;-)

I would have said the remote play function of the PS4, but I'm not sure the connection will hold up and that it won't be too laggy to be usable.

Two consoles or not playing in the living room anymore is more economical... the game room is nice. :-)

yes, if the PS4 were only for gaming ;-)

After if you use it for BluRay/Netflix/Youtube as well, I would recommend a small BluRay player so your console stays upstairs...

the situation is quite the opposite... I only use the console upstairs when I want to play with the steering wheel for racing games because the rest of the family plays on the console in the living room but since they are not really into racing games, they are of course on the sofa! :-)
and since my partner is not thrilled about seeing the whole setup with the seat and the steering wheel in the living room... I have to move upstairs
