Avast regularly detects IDP..Generic and I quarantine it.

Hello,

Last year, Avast detected Installflashplayer.exe as an infected file IDP.Generic; I quarantined it, and there were no more issues.
This year, it's the third time it's been detected, sometimes at any time on any site... I just went to check my emails on Mozilla Thunderbird and I got the alert. Quarantined again.

I don't understand why it keeps detecting it so often, anywhere and anytime? Quarantine doesn't completely block it or is there a new threat of the same thing every few months?
Often the location is the same, only the letters and numbers change at the end after Temp. Today's one => C://WINDOWS/SYSWOW64/MACROMED/TEMP/{D3A489C6-D1E8-49C4-800D-846CD7C7EFE}

Should I permanently delete it through some manipulation? I should mention that I have already deleted "cookies and site data" (in Options on Firefox), cleared the history, etc.

Thanks in advance.

Configuration: Windows / Firefox 68.0

    Hello,

It seems to be zeal since it's a generic detection on a Flash file.

To check your computer for any infections and to get a general state of the system:

Follow the FRST tutorial by clicking on this blue link. ( take the time to read carefully - everything is well explained ).

Download and run the FRST scan,
Wait for the scan to finish, a message will indicate that the analysis is complete.

Three FRST reports will be generated:
    • FRST.txt
    • Shortcut.
    • Additionnal.txt

Send these 3 reports to the site https://pjjoint.malekal.com/ and reply here with the 3 pjjoint links to the reports in a new response so that we can review them.

(The blue links lead to explanatory step-by-step tutorials, click on them for more precise instructions to follow).
