Hello,
I was charged €79.99, yet I requested my unsubscription three years ago. While doing some research, I found the payment center "digital river" and was able to find the invoice. In fact, there are two invoices, one from last year. What a surprise since I don’t have the antivirus.
I requested a refund; I clicked on a page and received a message which I saved stating that I would be refunded within two days. Nothing has happened to date.
How can I stop dealing with this scam system, knowing that I have done everything to unsubscribe but nothing works?
Configuration: Windows / Chrome 81.0.4044.138

Hello,
I had the same problem. The only way to stop this scam, in my opinion, is to ask your bank to reject the AVAST request and at the same time to have your credit card changed even if it has not yet expired.
To engage in this kind of scam, this company must not be very financially solid.-
For the credit card, I made an opposition as soon as I saw the charge. I reported the charge through Digital River and there I saw 2 invoices, the one from 2019, I didn’t note €49.99 but the one for €79.99 caught my eye. I just received a message, see below what it says:
Hello,
Thank you for contacting AVAST Software.
After checking your email address, we were able to confirm that the automatic renewal of your subscription has already been stopped.
Your order will expire at the end of its validity period.
In case you wish to renew your subscription in the future, you can do so via: https://www.avast.com/en-us/index .
Best regards,
The Avast Support Team
I find them cheeky, it's really outrageous. Anyway, I will file a complaint if I don't get a refund. Can you tell me how I can find the complaint website, because going to the police station, I don’t think that will lead to anything.
Thank you for your message. -
