Hello,
I was updating my Xiaomi Redmi S2 phone, but the percentage got stuck at 90% for at least ten minutes, so I decided to restart my phone. The download started over from 0%, but halfway through, a low battery screen appeared, and I tried charging it by every means possible, but nothing worked.
And when I try to restart it, it goes to a fastboot screen; it's the same with a forced restart and the reboot. I also cleaned the charging port, but still nothing.
I looked online, but apparently, no one is in the same situation as me, and I have to leave for vacation soon, so I hope to solve this problem beforehand.
Thank you in advance; I hope you can help me.

Hello,
If I understand correctly, your battery is completely dead... and you're unable to recharge it..?? Even with the cable and a charger that works fine elsewhere...??
It's likely that your charging USB port on the phone is broken, or it has lost a contact tab, making charging impossible...
These ports are way too small for such frequent use and depending on the user's precautions, along with bad luck, it's easy to detach one of those copper contact tabs...
Here’s an example... and the solution is to replace that USB port on the phone... and I've seen quite a few of them... To see this, you need a jeweler's loupe and good lighting.
Of course, I'm considering this possibility, but it could also be something else..

Otherwise, I think about resetting the phone... but I don't really see how if the battery is dead and there's no way to recharge it...
And accessing the battery isn't simple... So no external charging.
Here is a site that explains the reset https://toutandroid.fr/comment-reinitialiser-votre-xiaomi-redmi-s2/
it might work.. by staying constantly plugged in with the charger into the USB port.
But also to reset the phone it needs to be on, which is not the case. Oh, and I forgot to mention that the volume down button on the phone doesn't work, which makes operations with this button impossible.
I'm hesitating to go to Auchan (where I bought my phone) to the customer service but I'm afraid they will charge me a lot even though I haven't done anything to cause this problem...
--- You can try holding down the Volume + button and then pressing the "Power" button, also called Power ON, until a small menu appears on the screen, and then release the Power button....
After that, use only the Volume + button to scroll through the menu... select what suits you from the menu... and confirm by pressing the Volume - button or "Power" and let it run for several minutes...
For broken buttons and other hardware issues, I can't do anything through the forum... Still, try the recommended actions... as a last resort, go see Auchan.
