Hello everyone

On my desktop PC (not a laptop), for some time now, a big volume bar has been appearing on my screen and it stays visible all the time, which is annoying. How can I make it disappear, please?

Thank you

Hello,

1- Make Chrome.exe disappear from the black rectangle related to volume:
Check out this procedure.

2- With a desktop PC.
You need to check your monitor's menu (Screen)
Navigate through the options using the buttons located on the monitor; an Audio option may be present
in which case you disable it and then exit the menus.
If you don't see anything, unplug the monitor for a few minutes.

3- Unlock the volume indicator on Windows
With Volume Step Adjuster
The program loads at startup.
Normally your volume indicator disappears.
If you ever want to cancel the use of Volstep, click on volstep_stop to remove Volume Step Adjuster.

4- Uninstall the Audio driver
It is likely that the problem comes from the audio driver. This solution is more complicated for non-tech-savvy users.
The goal is to go to the Device Manager and then look for your audio device.
Your driver may reinstall itself; restart your PC and check if the problem is resolved.
Be careful, if your driver does not reinstall itself, you will need to look for it on the internet, on the manufacturer's website.

See you!

Hello, here is the latest update Version 76.0.3809.87 (Official Build) (64-bit)
This may perhaps resolve the issue.

volume bar that appears on my screen and remains visible all the time
We don't know if it's like in his screenshot with Google Chrome since → visible all the time
For example, is it visible once the PC is started without launching any applications?

Before possibly installing Chrome 76, it would be good to check what the current version is.
Google Chrome: check the version and update here

michamy give us more details if the problem persists in your next message.
See you!
