Is 24GB of RAM good or not?

Hello, I am going to buy a PC with 8GB of RAM at 2666MHz (2x4GB) and I would like to add some more RAM. Considering the current price of 16GB, I wanted to ask if it would be worth it to add 16GB more (2x8GB) at 3000MHz? That would make it 24GB of RAM.

    It depends on how you use your PC...
    Are you going to use it for something specific?
    But already, I think it's good like that.

      Well, it's mostly for gaming and maybe a bit of editing, but very little.
