Fransat, black screen
Solved
Hello,
I have a holiday home that I visited in March and everything was working fine.
But now, when I arrived yesterday, all the channels are black.
I am using Fransat, and I have a PC6 card. I checked the cable, and I didn't notice anything wrong. I tried adjusting the satellite dish, but whether I move it left, right, up, or down, I lose quality, so I set it back to where it was (installed by a specialist).
I think I need to change the LNB.
Do you have any ideas on how to help me?
Thank you.

This is the Cahors Veox HD decoder. There is no internet.
I reset it but it can’t find any channels. I cleaned the card. I slightly adjusted the satellite dish in all directions, and each time the power and quality dropped, sometimes even to zero. The dish is at ground level and securely fixed. I cleaned everything.
Nothing works.

Do you have a voltage of 13 or 18 volts powering the LNB via the coax cable..?
Are the F connectors well made, no short circuit between the casing and the core..?? No oxidation, no water.
What are the values of the signal bar graphs, for the level and quality..??
Adjusting the satellite dish is nearly impossible "by guesswork"; even a single millimeter off at the bottom and you're 700 km away from the satellite. You need a device to measure the reception, precisely, next to you while moving the dish, like the SF-500 for example. https://www.satenco.com/fr/pointeur-satellite/2845-sf-500-pointeur-satellite-3700903357757.html
Is it still connected in your absence..? Of course, the LNB could also have been affected by water or lightning...
You can detach it from the dish and connect it to the end of the coax cable of your decoder, and move it by hand in front of the satellite's direction, watching the bar graphs on your decoder to see if there's any movement, you need to do this slowly... (it's very fleeting), to check if it works...
