10Gb/s Fiber CPL

Hello, I currently live in Switzerland and we have access to 10gb/s fiber, which is 10000 mbps. The problem is that the router is quite far away and I can only find powerline adapters with a maximum speed of 2000 mbps. I wanted to know if there are any powerline adapters available for my speed, and if not, are there other alternatives?

    Hello,

    2000 mbps = 2 Gigabits per second...
No one on Earth needs this speed.

Yes, I know, but for me it’s 10 Gigabits, might as well take advantage of that speed while I have it.

Yes, but in any case, if it's a maximum of 10GB, I will be at least at 6GB/s.

Okay, thank you for the information.

So I wanted to know how to make the most of my connection? Will a 2000 mbps powerline adapter be enough?

A powerline adapter won't exploit anything; it's commercial. Whether it says 1000 or 2000, you'll always be limited by the electrical network and you'll lose bandwidth, not to mention packet loss.

If you want to make the most of your connection, you run a real RJ45 cable from one end to the other, and you'll be fine.
