Powerline adapter indicator lights up then goes off

Hello, I bought two TP-Link powerline adapters. When I plug in the second adapter, the light indicating it's connected to another adapter lights up and then turns off. Could you help me?

    unfortunately, it's off to a bad start,
    you're falling into the genetic illness of PLC modems: Their environment.
    Try changing their electrical socket, but especially unplug any chargers and other unnecessary power supplies around them that can disrupt and pollute their frequency band.

    Every powerline adaptor must be paired before use, have you read the user manual?
