Hello, I have an issue with my PC; it gives me a blue screen quite often and it's random, sometimes even when I'm not doing anything...

with the error code:
Stop: 0x00000124 (0x00000000, 0x86FCB168, 0xBE000000, 0x00800400)
I've tried 3 different sets of RAM sticks but the same problem persists
I've reformatted my PC 3 times and even upgraded from Windows 7 to 10 but it's still the same
Windows 10 error: WHEA UNCORRECTABLE ERROR
I've also tested my 2 hard drives separately and changed the position of my graphics card but still the same...

My PC doesn't overheat; my CPU is between 45° and 50° while playing it can reach between 65° and 70°

I clean the dust quite regularly (case with a window, no choice ^^)

My config:
motherboard: MSI z77-G43 Gaming
graphics card: MSI GTX 1050 TI 4GB
processor: Intel Core i5-3570K CPU 3.40 GHZ paired with a Noctua cooler (Noctua thermal paste recently changed)
Gskill 16GB RAM stick
power supply between 600 to 650 Watts
2 hard drives, one with 500 GB for Windows system
and the other 1000 GB

problem detection:
whocrashed: nvlddmkm.sys (NVIDIA Windows Kernel Mode Driver, Version 391.01, NVIDIA Corporation)

BlueScreenView: driver issue (Halmacpi.dll)
in red at the bottom: Halmacpi.dll, ntoskrnl.exe, nvlddmkm.sys

Thanks in advance :)

Configuration: Windows / Chrome 74.0.3729.157

Hello.

Right-click on the Windows icon in the taskbar.
Click on Command Prompt (admin) or Powershell (admin)
Then type chkdsk c:  /f  /r
The scan will take place at the next restart.

Hello,

I strongly advise you to update your graphics card driver first and see if the problem persists.

Currently, version 430.64 is available for your model from Nvidia.

Keep us posted :)

Hello,

I have reformatted my PC 3 times, I even switched from Windows 7 to 10 but still the same
Windows 10 error: WHEA UNCORRECTABLE ERROR

WHEA = hardware problem.
In the event viewer, you should have indications to find the faulty hardware.
See here for more explanations: WHEA Uncorrectable Error Windows 10 or 8.

It’s a hardware issue.
The next step is to identify the source component that causes these crashes.

You can test the hardware a bit with Ubuntu or the Malekal Live CD

Start by checking the hard drive and a memtest.
You can also try booting the computer with one memory stick at a time.

Since this morning, I no longer have access to my PC; I'm getting a Boot error: 0XC000014C. I called Microsoft support, and they told me it was due to a faulty component. I'm going to buy a new motherboard, a processor, and some RAM sticks. I will return to the forum to see if the blue screen problem is resolved :) Anyway, thank you very much for helping me :)

Hello,

I noticed that you have reformatted your PC several times, so the system is not at fault.

I still advise you to update your graphics driver, which may fix this issue.

The code "Stop: 0x00000124" usually indicates a problem on the PCI bus for hardware that manages "hot swapping." It seems that Windows is detecting as if you are trying to unplug/replug your card while your PC is turned on.

Have you checked that it is properly secured to the chassis of your PC, so it cannot move when pulling a cable, for example, or touching your tower with your foot, etc...?

Hello,
I did the latest available update but the same problem persists...
Everything is properly secured in my tower, I even took the opportunity to check if all the cables are properly connected and everything seems fine.

In your place, I would try to reproduce the crash; see when the system crashes.

For example, after 10 minutes of use or when the PC is under heavy load, etc. Try to find a way to make it crash and crash again.

Then, I would remove all peripherals one by one, starting with the graphics card, which seems to be faulty, and see under the same conditions if the problem occurs again.

If so, remove all USB devices, run the PC with only one stick of RAM, etc.

Good luck!

With pleasure! It’s my job and I love it, hoping that you manage to find the fault :)

It's a very interesting job, I'm sure, I myself love everything related to computers, trying to understand how it works and all, but on the other hand I hate blue screens ^^
However, as mentioned earlier, since this morning I no longer have access to my PC, it gives me a Boot error: 0XC000014C, so I called Microsoft support, they told me it was due to a defective component, so I will buy a motherboard, a processor, and RAM sticks. I will come back to the forum to say if the blue screen problem is resolved :) In any case, thank you very much for helping me :)
