Hello everyone, I have an issue regarding a Windows 10 reset on a Lenovo PC. Last night I started the reset process for Windows 10 on the PC as I had not completed it before restarting it; the PC turned off and I may have accidentally pressed a key that I shouldn't have, which led to the reset starting. The issue is that I can't access anything, the only thing that has been happening since this morning is, "Hello, we are starting to remove some basic tasks," I go through everything it displays until the end, once that's done, it restarts and gives me the same message. I think I must have selected the wrong Windows 10 reset option. I hope I can recover this without having to go to a specialist or technician. I'm waiting for your help as soon as possible to clarify this for me, maybe I should download a Windows 10 program on another operational PC or do a command prompt or something else. I will remain connected while waiting for a response from you.

I'm on a tutorial to get a Windows 10 ISO.
https://www.malekal.com/telecharger-iso-windows/
Once that's done, follow this:
Create the installation USB:
Download the Rufus software:
https://www.commentcamarche.net/telecharger/utilitaires/19615-rufus/
Your USB on Rufus must have the following settings:
Device:
Your USB drive (unplug all your hard drives and other USBs for this step to avoid mistakes.)
Then, click on SELECT and choose your previously downloaded Windows ISO
Image Option: standard Windows installation.
Partition scheme: GPT
Destination system: UEFI (non-CSM)
And leave the rest as is.
Then, click on start and your USB will be FORMATTED.
Once that's finished, plug your USB into your (non-functional) PC
And press the F12 key quickly multiple times.
You should normally see a menu appear.
Navigate with the arrow keys to your USB drive (name)
And press enter.
If it doesn't find your USB drive, let me know. You may need to disable Secure Boot.
Then click on Install Windows now. Click I don't have a Product Key and select all the boxes and delete them. (One by one) then choose your hard drive and click next.
Normally it should install Windows.
If you need help, don't hesitate to ask.

I am currently downloading the Windows 10 ISO version 1709 in x86, I hope it wasn't the x64 I was supposed to take, if that's the case I'll start over.
In Rufus in the boot selection section, what should I choose?
Sorry about the ISO issue, I didn’t think it through.

Hello,
@ GeckOs
You have followed the tutorial too literally.
The image indicates Windows 10 version 1709, but that's not the one you should take.
We are now on version 1809, you should always take the latest one.
Download version 1809.
(for rufus ntfs will be fine too)
@ Adizen
It's better to recommend getting the iso with Media Creation Tool, as mentioned further down, because it always provides the latest version.
F 12 for BIOS access, the key depends on the PC, it could be escape, F 2 ...
Best of luck

Hello, so I'm starting again. I'm downloading IOS Windows 1809 in x64 and then rufus and then what do I do?
I'm back again, can we start from the beginning? I'll recap so I can explain how to properly recover Windows 10 with the correct version from a second PC, since the Lenovo from which I did a reset has an issue, as mentioned earlier. Just explain where to find the right Windows 10 ISO to download and how to retrieve it onto a USB stick, then remove the USB stick and insert it into the PC to reinstall Windows 10. I hope to have the correct process; I'm only asking for assistance and not to go off track.
P.S. I can't find the Windows 10 ISO version 1809 to download, or did I skip a page, lol.

I didn't mean to confuse you.. just that you need to take the latest version, the rest doesn't change.
For the ISO, it's clearly indicated on the tutorial page given.
Here is the ISO directly (I'm doing the work and reading for you)
https://software-download.microsoft.com/pr/Win10_1809Oct_v2_French_x64.iso?t=6341c044-605a-4e7d-b0e2-b7fbfb8c866d&e=1556978101&h=2154303454384b8e9e937f690ef22762
Downloading and creating the key with Rufus (GPT UEFI) should be done from a working PC.
Once the key is made as indicated, you will plug it into the PC to be repaired, then start the PC.
It should boot directly from the key, so the installation will begin.
If not, as Adizen said, you need to ask again because there might be a setting to change in the BIOS to allow booting from the key.
As previously requested, if you indicate the model of the PC that needs to be repaired, it will be easier to guide you.
(Accessing the BIOS if needed is different from one brand and model to another.

Everything is done in rufus I have:
1. Device: NO_LABEL (F:) [16Go]
2. Boot Type: (I took) UEFI:NTFS

5. Destination System (I took) UEFI (non CSM)
- I do not need to select anything else in Device Options or check
Formatting Options:

Lenovo is a bit limited, they must have created a few hundred models or more :-)
The model of the PCs is indicated on a label under the PC or on the tower at the back or on the sides.
Like LENOVO IDEAPAD 330-15AST or LENOVO IDEACENTRE 720-181CB or ...........
Afterwards, I'm not going to disturb the help provided by Adizen, I'll keep an eye on it from a distance.

Once done, plug the USB stick into your Lenovo
Only then do you start it.
It should boot from the USB stick
If not, let me know.

Important message about Secure Boot:
You have just created a media that uses UEFI:NTFS. Please note that to boot from this media, YOU MUST DISABLE SECURE BOOT.
For more information (in English) on the reasons for this change, you can click the button below.
Should I check the Do not show this message again box and close it, or not?

Actually, to answer your question, I just wanted to reset it to factory settings, but my PC shut down before I completed the reset, so I must have made a mistake in selecting the finalization of the reset.
So leave the key plugged in, turn off the PC.
Tap the F1 key and start at the same time.
You should enter the BIOS
Navigate and find the line "secure boot" which should be in the security or boot tab.
Disable this secure boot
Exit, making sure to validate
The key should launch or a reboot will be necessary to take the changes into account.

Here I put the key in the Lenovo PC, I started it and then I pressed F2; I am in the BIOS (InsydeH20 Setup Utility), I have Information, Configuration, Security, Boot or Exit.
Hello,
I carefully read through the entire procedure that I applied for an HP PC.
Everything went well, except for the last step.
When I start the installation from the USB drive, I see the screen above.
I correctly select the main Windows partition, the operation starts, but after a few seconds, I get the following message: "Windows installation failed to reset the deployment engine. To install Windows, please restart the installation."
Could you please help me?
Thank you.

You still haven't started on your key.
Go into your BIOS
The highlighted line is your key.
It is part of a list where you can change the order
You need to move this line to the top
Above the Windows Boot Manager
Confirm and exit
Your USB key will then be prioritized and should boot.
