Hello,
I have an MSI GP62MVR 7RF Leopard Pro laptop with 8GB of DDR4 2400MHz RAM, and I wanted to add a second 8GB stick to have 16GB.
I went to the CRUTIAL site, I scanned my PC, and the site then suggested 2 RAM options. The first is an 8GB DDR4 2400MHz, but it also offers an 8GB DDR4 2666MHz. According to their site, that one is compatible with my PC.
And I was wondering if there is a significant performance difference between 2400MHz and 2666MHz, and above all I don’t know if I can put a 2666MHz module with my existing 2400MHz stick in my PC.
I would still like to take the 2666MHz if possible, knowing it’s the same price as the 2400MHz.
Thank you in advance.
Best regards.

Hi,
You already have a 2400 MHz RAM stick in your PC, there's no point in getting a 2666 MHz one—it will be limited to 2400 MHz.
See you later =)
