Hello everyone,
I am currently sorting some photos, but the dates indicated in the menu do not match the dates when the photos were taken.
I would like to know how I can find the true dates of my photos?
Without using software? By using software?
Thank you for your help.

Good evening,
By right-clicking on the photo => Properties => Details tab, you should be able to see the date taken if your device was set to the correct date.

Unfortunately, neither of your two proposals works, the dates do not match. :(

Do not correspond to reality.

And since a camera does nothing "on its own," human error is the most likely cause.
As for how difficult it is, that's hard to say without going back in time.
However, one could easily imagine that by never controlling this parameter, it could have gotten misadjusted due to handling of the device itself, or that the camera, depending on the model, might have found itself without any power source for a given time; it could also have updated "on its own" because some import software has a function that synchronizes the camera with the PC's time when connected.
Etc.
In short, it is impossible to know in retrospect, and it's better to be familiar with the aspects of your camera (by reading the manual) to at least avoid mistakes in the future.
