Wondershare Studio // INFECTION ?

Solved

Hello everyone

I'm reaching out to you after trying for several days to find a solution to my problem:

- a computer that is rarely this slow
- missing dll files
- Scans & analysis performed with: CCleaner; Spybot showed nothing.

After reading and re-reading all the forums, it seems that my problem points to the uninstallation of Wondershare Studio.
This program was on my computer without my knowledge, and by uninstalling it, it appears that I caused the issue described above....

I understand that I need to run a FRST Analysis (which I have downloaded) and that I should seek help from a third-party expert who could read it and find a solution... Unfortunately, I am not that expert...

Could someone please:
- confirm that my approach is correct?
- help me solve this darn problem?

Honestly, I don't know what else to do...

Thank you regardless!!

See you soon

Configuration: Windows / Chrome 70.0.3538.110

Hi,

Why do a CCleaner check?
It removes temporary files, internet cache, and the like.
No interest.
CCleaner cleanings, once every 6 months, are enough.

Spybot is ineffective, uninstall it.

Otherwise, WonderShare is not malware.
It's just a slightly buggy application that sometimes slows down Windows because it leaks memory.

You can provide the reports via FRST at https://pjjoint.malekal.com
If you want us to check the computer.

just leftovers for Wondershare,

You have programs that were installed when you purchased the computer or installed later that may not be useful.
They clutter up Windows and can slow it down.
Therefore, you can uninstall them.
Go to the Control Panel
then Programs and Features.
Uninstall:

Ask Toolbar (adware)
CCleaner
Dropbox
Google Toolbar for Internet Explorer
WildTangent Games App

PS: CCleaner is not really useful, even though it is recommended everywhere.
If you want to keep it, disable CCleaner's monitoring, which is unnecessary, as it starts up with Windows and slows it down with its constant cleaning, see: https://www.malekal.com/supprimer-ccleaner-demarrage-windows/

Here is the fix to be made with FRST. You can use this explanatory note with screenshots.
Restart FRST then press CTRL + Y on your keyboard.
The notepad will open, copy/paste this.

CreateRestorePoint:
CloseProcesses:
HKLM-x32\...\Run: [Wondershare Helper Compact.exe] => C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Wondershare\Wondershare Helper Compact\WSHelper.exe [2137744 2016-10-08] (Wondershare)
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Wondershare
EmptyTemp:
RemoveProxy:
Reboot:

Save the content using the file menu, then save.

Close Notepad, return to FRST and click the "Fix" button
A restart may be necessary and automatic.
A text file will appear, copy/paste the content here in a new message.

Restart the computer

Hello Malekal_morte-

thank you very much for your help.
Yes! My computer needs to be checked. I can't do it on my own. So thank you once again for offering to help.

I sent the following reports via https://pjjoint.malekal.com:

https://pjjoint.malekal.com/files.php?id=20181126_j12t6r14v7e10
https://pjjoint.malekal.com/files.php?id=FRST_20181126_l13x12u10d6c10

I followed your advice and already uninstalled Spybot.

Understood about CCleaner.

A huge thank you.

I followed your instructions to the letter and the results are:
- no more missing dll files
- no more slowdowns.

The computer has had a second lease on life. Fantastic.

Note 1: I didn't need to do the step -> "A restart may be necessary and automatic.
A text file appears, copy/paste the content here in a new message.

Restart the computer"

-> the restart was manual // no files reappeared after the restart.

Note 2: 2 updates consistently triggered when shutting down the computer. I thought that was part of the problem.
Clearly, that's not the case -> these 2 updates are still present;

Any advice?

I renew my thanks;

Is it possible to contact you via PM?

See you soon!!
