Hello,
Every time I open Excel, an installation window appears with "configuration progress."
I had the same problem with Word, and the solution presented here worked:
https://forums.commentcamarche.net/forum/affich-4779342-progression-de-la-configuration-word-2007

I tried the same thing with Excel, but it didn't change anything.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Excel\Options

I also tried the solution from Dom_94 by creating a shortcut, but I still have a 2-minute installation every time.

Do you have a solution for Excel to open directly?

Thank you.

Configuration: Windows / Firefox 63.0

    Re....

    On Windows 10
    right-click on the Start menu
    click on Settings,
    click on Apps,
    click on Apps & features
    search for Microsoft Office
    click on Modify
    then Yes
    then check Repair
    then Next
the rest I let you discover

    cheers

      Hello,
It worked for the initial problem.
Unfortunately, I have this issue now: a small window saying "stdole.32.tlb" opens up.

      Anyway, thanks for the solution!

      Hello,
Thanks, yes, I will take a look.
      But I messed up yesterday.
I replied that it worked because I only had that "stdole.32" window appearing.
      But I replied too quickly!
      :(
      I'm sorry.
In reality, once the window was closed, I still had a long startup of Excel after going through the settings.

    Good evening

    Sorry that it didn't work.

Maybe a complete reinstall of Office would be the most appropriate and sensible option in your case, but it's always annoying to reinstall a program since you first have to properly uninstall it via add/remove programs and maybe also look for any residual files lying around...
    Best regards
