Hello,
like many others, after buying a phone on leboncoin, it is now blacklisted, apparently by Bouygues.
In fact, when starting up the phone, which is new, a Bouygues app launches.
How can I tell if this phone is blacklisted? By Bouygues?
How can I un-blacklist it?
Thank you for your help.

Hello,
this one is blacklisted today, apparently by Bouygues.
In fact, when starting up the brand new phone, a Bouygues app launches.
Just because a mobile app is present on a device or launches at startup doesn't mean... the phone is necessarily blacklisted.
What is this "app"?
Are you sure the phone is not already SIM locked?
What makes you think it is "blacklisted"?

Thank you for your responses:
1 - Not reported stolen, neither by the gendarmerie nor by any operator.
2 - The phone worked for 2 months, then lost signal, the Bouygues app that launched just allowed me to know the phone's origin. I think the phone is blacklisted for non-payment by the previous owner.

Hi, it's pretty simple.
The guy who sold you this phone bought it on a contract with Bouygues for 30 euros + his subscription / month...
Two weeks later, he put it on Leboncoin, sold it to you, and then closed his bank account, preventing the operator from collecting the subscription...
In this case, the operator blocks your phone's network, and it is ... blacklisted ....
I had the same thing happen with an iPhone 7 bought on Leboncoin.
Normally, your phone doesn't work with French operators but works abroad!
So if it's an iPhone XS that costs an arm and a leg, it might be worth checking it out :)
Hoping to have helped you, (avoid Leboncoin next time)
See you later.

Oh really?
Blacklisted, it’s surely stolen and the “real owner” reported it. So, back to the seller, report an issue to LeBonCoin, and a trip to the police station to file a complaint while you’re at it, the police would love to meet “this seller.”
To check, you call or go to Bouygues. If it’s blacklisted, Bouygues won’t unblock it just because you’re innocent; it’s stolen, period.
See you!
