Hello,

Under Windows 10, and using VIRTUALBOX (with XP SP3), I was using MONEY 95, and it works perfectly.
Finally, I installed MONEY 2005, and after archiving Money 95 > it’s OK.
I have set all my accounts in Euros.
BUT all the balances appear in duplicate = Euros and Francs!
How can I remove this double display and keep ONLY the EURO?
I can’t find it!
Thank you

    Hello;

    It could be that if you saved under Money 95 and then installed MsMoney 2005... and then relaunched MsMoney using a backup made under 95, MsMoney might get a bit confused between the Francs from version 95 and the Euros from version 2005.

    The best solution for verification is to completely and properly uninstall MsMoney 2005, then reinstall it while setting Euros as the default currency, and then simulate transactions (do not use old backups), and if you end up with only Euros in the end... Don't look elsewhere.

      Hello, and thank you for your response.
      I don't know if MsMoney is getting mixed up, because in Money 95 > tools/options/currency = I have declared euro as the currency.
      And the "replace with" box is checked > with "Francs for foreign currency."
      And all my accounts are therefore in Euros.
      Moreover, in MsMoney 95 there is no double balance (Euros and Francs) - just the balance (without symbol by the way).

      I did indeed open MONEY 2005 with the mny file from Money 95, which Money 2005 converted.

      All accounts appear without issues (configured Euro well set up), BUT there is this double balance display (Euro symbol € + Francs).
      It's not actually a problem, but there's no point in having the conversion in Francs anymore.

      Thank you for your attention.

      Hello;

      As mentioned above, in my opinion the only solution is to simulate movements on a new "virgin" MsMoney 2005, and if there are no Euros and Francs >> the problem should come from there!
      Personally, I have never encountered or seen the same thing on this Forum!
      See you!

      Well, it's okay > too bad - I prefer to continue like this, with the double balance (All states etc... are at the simple balance in Euros!) - It's curious but not a deal-breaker.
      Thank you and have a good Sunday.

      Thank you for the feedback.....
      Personally, I really don't see any other solutions than trying to do as mentioned above!
      Have a nice Sunday and see you later

      Finally, you were right!
      I uninstalled MONEY 2005 and reinstalled it.
      I loaded my .mny file from Money 2005 (previously worked on) > and ... there’s no more double balance!
      Just the balances in Euros.
      BIG THANK YOU.
      Have a good evening.
