Hello everyone,
Following a crash disk, I lost all my data, including the drivers to reinstall my laptop.
I reinstalled Windows XP Home on my PC, but I can't get any sound: the PCI Realtek card seems unrecognized; when I try to install the Realtek drivers that I managed to find online, I get a message saying that no associated device was found.

That's all the info I have, I've been struggling for several days to fix this problem, but nothing works. I went to the Intel website to get the chipset drivers: nothing, it doesn't work. I downloaded new drivers for my sound card: nothing works either.
I'm desperate...
No sound on this PC, no way to get it.
If someone has experienced a similar situation and has a solution, they would be blessed!
Thank you very much for your help!!

You need to connect to HP, type HP Pavilion dv8000, and it will offer to diagnose your PC and provide all your drivers except for the network card driver. That's my problem; I still don't have a solution, and I can no longer connect to the internet via Ethernet cable.

Hi -
Hi baladur13,
I've already been to their site, I fought hard and tested dozens of drivers => nothing.-
Oups...
The Conexant AC-Link Audio Driver isn't working... ?
Check if touslesdrivers can help you with their search program

I have a dv5000, there is a sticker underneath the laptop, look at it, you will probably see marked in small letters HP Pavilion dv8000, and that's all.
-
> baladur13: no, I've already tested. The problem isn't with the Audio driver, but with the audio chipset driver on the motherboard.

hem...???? Is this what I think or not ?????? Isn't it "honest"????,(don't worry I don't care !!!!! well anyway yeah this is problematic um well try to search online for the specifications

Hello,
same problem after formatting, I find myself without sound.
Unable to find the driver that corresponds to my HP Pavilion DV8000t
I have tried most of the drivers from HP, none work with my sound card.
- Conexant Cx20551 @ Intel 82801GBM ICH7-M - High Definition Audio Controller [A-1] PCI
I am on XP, I have updated the motherboard chipset and all the cards.
All I'm missing is the sound card driver.
Do you have any leads? I am really fed up with this problem.
Thank you

Hello everyone,
I have a little issue with my HP Pavilion Dv8000.
I have no sound and I don't know how to install SoundMax Audio High Definition (HD).
What can I do to get sound?
Thank you for helping me :-)-
Hello
At HP, there are 3 models of HP Pavilion dv8000 series laptops:
dv8005EA - dv8010EA - dv8029EA
What is your exact model?
See here to find the reference: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?tmp_renderType=findModel&cc=en&dlc=en&docname=c00219194&lc=en
Additionally, to recommend the appropriate drivers, it is necessary to know the operating system installed on this PC (Xp - Vista - Win7 (32 or 64bits))? -
