Hello,
I am a beginner in database creation and if anyone could help me please.
I would like to create a database to manage maintenance contracts that are currently in a multitude of Excel files.

I have created my tables, queries, and relationships, but I would like to check with you if my database is good and especially how to display the history of interventions by selecting the year.

I remain available and thank you in advance.

Configuration: Windows / Chrome 69.0.3497.100

Hello, it's difficult to check if your database is good if you don't explain what you want to store in it and what you'll do with it. However, I suggest storing the year as a number rather than as text.
If you display the interventions, you can then filter by year.

Hello yg_be, first of all, thank you for your response.
Now I'm open to any suggestions that could improve my database, so if you tell me that it's better to enter the year as a number, that's absolutely fine with me. I must have certainly forgotten to set it as amber when creating the tables, and my goal is to manage all maintenance contracts in a single database rather than having a collection of Excel spreadsheets. This way, everyone can check the ongoing contracts, interventions, and the associated dates.
It would also be great to have the number of interventions per year so we can see whether they have been carried out or not.
Thank you in advance for your help.

Hello
I've looked at your database.
Here is my solution: one contract, one provider, multiple interventions.
On one contract, one provider, and several interventions.
That's what you want.

Re Castours,
A question please and I promise I won’t bother you anymore.
I just revamped my database to something simpler and my question is as follows:
Is it possible to make it so that when I change pages on my service provider form, it also changes pages in my historical sub-form?

Thanks a thousand!

Hello
if you want, I can create a search form for you taking into account the provider, the year, and the month.
if that's of interest to you

Honestly, I’m open to it, Castours. I copied what you did and I'm trying to create an easier-to-use form for my colleagues, but if you can suggest something better, I won't say no.
In any case, thank you for all the time you’re dedicating to me.

STP Castours, can you tell me if the relationships between my tables are good or not?

Hello
you're not bothering me.
As for your question, the tables are related. If you delete a provider, for example, all the records linked to them will be deleted.

Hello
I have the relationships, a form and a subform.
You can remove datedebut and datefin from the provider.
You have the same thing in the history.
Keep me updated.
