Hello,

Despite reading several forums, I still can't transfer my building blocks from one PC to another in Word 2016...

I am looking for them here: C:\Users\[User]\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Document Building Blocks\1036\

I copy and paste them into the other PC, but when I open Word, I don't see anything in my AutoText list...

Can you help me?

    Hello

    You talk about building blocks and auto insertions. The auto insertions are indeed part of the building blocks, except that, by default, they are automatically stored in Normal.dotm.

    So, are you sure you chose the building blocks to store your AI?
    Did you retrieve your Normal.dotm?

    It’s the Building Blocks.dotx that needs to be copied to transfer it to the other PC
    The path is C:\Users\user\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Document Building Blocks\1036\16
    that is to say, with an additional folder: the \16 (for Office 2016)

    Just to check because I currently can't find other reasons that prevent the retrieval of the AIs

      Yes, this is where I copy my two files Building Blocks.dotx and Built-in Building Blocks.dotx but it doesn't work...
