Hello,

So, I don't know if the option exists, but I would like to know if it's possible, in Word, Works, Open Office, or another program, to automatically replace a particular word that appears multiple times throughout the text file with another word. Basically, I would like to change the name of a character and since it appears about a hundred times, it would be convenient not to have to change everything manually. Can we do that?

Configuration: Windows Vista / Firefox 3.5.9

Hello,

Yes, it's possible, and it's actually very easy to do.

1) Open your Word document
2) Press Ctrl+F
3) In the box that appears, select Replace.
4) Next to Find, enter the word you want to replace, and next to Replace, the word you want to use.
5) If you click on the More button, you'll get additional options.
6) Otherwise, click on Replace All and there you go, job done!

Good luck,
