Hello,
This morning when I returned from a break, I found my screen displaying "DVI no signal." I reboot the PC, and everything works. A few minutes later, the display goes blank again, I restart. And from there, as soon as I finish the Windows 7 boot, the screen shows this message. The PC is running, I can hear the sounds of Windows.
I unplugged the card, then tested with DVI on the chipset, and it works; with the Intel drivers, I'm at 1080p, everything works perfectly.
I can also boot with the card, but only in safe mode. Driver issue? From safe mode, I remove all the drivers with DDU, even the Intel ones. I reinstall the latest drivers from the official site. "DVI no signal."
It's starting to get strange, maybe a port issue? I try connecting the PC to the TV via HDMI, and it works. So I try a VGA to DVI adapter and connect it all to the DVI of the card. It works... I also tried another DVI cable and it has the same problem.
Now I'm lost because I have a screen that works perfectly, a cable that works, a card that works, and fresh drivers... I could use the PC in VGA, but it looks really bad. I have the impression that the screen has decided to stop working in DVI with THIS card only...
I hope it's not too difficult to understand.
The config:
gtx 770
i5 4670k
asus z97 A
asus DVI/VGA 1080p screen

First of all, since your GPU doesn't have a VGA port, you are actually using a DVI to VGA adapter and not a VGA to DVI adapter as you wrote. Furthermore, your GPU has 2 DVI outputs, one DVI-I and one DVI-D. If you are using a standard DVI/VGA adapter, it only works with the DVI-I port, which carries both digital and analog signals. It will not work with the DVI-D port, which only carries digital signals. Please let us know which adapter you are using and the exact model of your ASUS monitor.
