Hello,
My PC is running W8. I have Open Office 4.15. Everything was working fine before the holidays, and now that I'm back, I wanted to place orders using my spreadsheet as usual, but when I try to open a file, it tells me that I cannot because I'm not an administrator (it's my PC and I'm the only one using it!).
For other files, I get a message saying that soffice.win does not allow me.
I read on the forum that it might be due to an obsolete version of Open Office, but I reinstalled it in May.
That's two problems for the same PC, and it's too much for me. Thank you for helping me.
Sincerely,
Françoise

Hello
check if there is any old improperly closed file lingering in the folder where the document is located with a name like the one below starting with lock
.~lock.Nouveau Texte OpenDocument.odt#
try to delete it
Also try to "clear the profile"
press the WINDOWS key (a flag) and R (at the same time).
-Then, type << %appdata% >>
-Look for the OpenOffice folder
-Rename it to << OldOpenOffice >>
reopen LibreOffice

Good evening,
If I right-click, I don't have the option to run as administrator.
But when I double-click, I get a window that says the document is in use, locked for editing by an unknown user, with three options: open read-only, open a copy, or cancel.
But selecting the first two options does nothing.
And that's when I'm told that soffice wants to intervene, but it has no effect.
Best regards,
Françoise
