Hello, I have a little problem with a photo folder that I had on a USB drive (which I was using on a Mac before), and when I put my drive into my new PC (running Windows 10), the photo file turned into a .lnk shortcut.
Since then, this file has appeared on my PC and no matter how much I try to delete it, empty the recycle bin directly, it comes back. The same goes if I try to delete it from the drive; it reappears there. Yet I have plenty of other files on the drive that have not had any problems. I don't necessarily need to recover the original file; I just want to be able to delete this damn .lnk shortcut from my computer. If anyone has a solution, I would appreciate it.

Hello,
This is related to a USB infection.
To check the computer, I invite you to run this FRST analysis and report back with the results:
Follow the FRST tutorial. ( take the time to read carefully - everything is well explained ).
Download and run the FRST scan,
Wait for the scan to finish, a message will indicate that the analysis is complete.
Three FRST reports will be generated:
Send these 3 reports to the website https://pjjoint.malekal.com/ to share them.
In return, provide the 3 pjjoint links that lead to the reports here in a new response so that we can review them.
