My computer does not detect my headset's microphone.

Hello,

I recently acquired a new headset (Afterglow LVL 6+). It comes with a mini jack to connect to game console controllers, but there's an adapter included to connect it to the computer (with the green audio jack and the pink microphone jack). Naturally, the microphone does whatever it wants and refuses to work. It works on my Xbox One and on my phone. Strangely, when I enable the "listen to this device" function, the microphone works. I think it's just a Windows setting that needs to be adjusted, but after hours of searching, I'm turning to people more knowledgeable than me ;)

Thank you in advance for your feedback!

Hello and welcome to the forum,
    Have you tried this:
Control Panel -> Hardware and Sound -> Sound -> Manage Audio Devices -> Click on the Recording tab and select your microphone, which should be in the list

Yes, I tried this, so I performed a Windows reset, it's radical and now it works ;)
