Hello, since last night I've been struggling with my computer to make it usable again. The thing is, the day before yesterday (when my computer was still working), I received a message indicating that an important update needed to be done. I had three options in front of me: either do it right away, schedule it, or ask the computer to remind me later. I chose to schedule it to allow me to finish what I had left to do. After scheduling it overnight, I plugged it in, intentionally left it on for the update to occur, and went to bed. However, the next day when I tried to turn it on, there was a black screen, but it was still on; the only thing I could see was that black screen. I decided to force it to shut down and then turn it back on. And then, the drama! Here’s what appears when I turn it back on: none of the proposed options work except escape, which takes me to what is called the BIOS if I'm not mistaken. After doing some research on how to fix everything, I followed someone's advice to switch to legacy mode, and here's what is displayed now. I really hope to save my computer or at least the data stored inside. Thank you for your help.

A long speech but it misses the essential: what is your version of Windows?
If you are on Windows 10, read very carefully this page.

I am on Windows 10, thank you for the link you shared, but I'm not sure if it will help me since when I turn on my computer only the message insert boot disk and press any key appears.

It's because you set your BIOS to legacy mode; restore the default settings.
Then try the different options present in your first screenshot.
