RAM compatibility issues

Hello
I have an HP laptop that I bought with Windows 8, then updated to Windows 10.
It had a 4GB RAM stick: Samsung 4G 1px8 pc3l - 1200S - 11-13-B4

I went to a computer store and got an 8GB RAM card that I replaced (not in addition): Kingston with the following inscriptions: 99u5428-081.A00LF
P000775
1FL53-C9JP6L-4WYLB
KVR16S11/8
1.5V

The PC turns on but during startup, I get a message from HP: "DDR3 Memory type not supported. Memory incompatible (2E3). Press Enter to continue.

I press Enter and the PC starts correctly, and I indeed have 8GB in the system settings.
But every time I restart the PC, I always get the HP message stating that the DDR3 is not compatible.

Could someone explain to me why and give me a solution please?
Thank you :)

Hello,
could you give us the serial number on the 4GB stick please?

it seems you need a ddr3L (1.35volt) stick and not ddr3 (1.5 volt)

Thank you for this response.

I am also looking to change the RAM bar in an Acer laptop.

And, unfortunately, I didn't know that there was a difference between DDR3 RAM. Thank you for saving me from a frustrating waste of time.

Therefore, I will first check the original type of DDR3 RAM and see if there are compatible RAM options available on the market.

AH..... Indeed, well noticed ....
The initial Samsung 4G 1px8 PC3L RAM stick: the L stands for Low Voltage, so it is indeed a 1.35v

- Why do I get a message on startup indicating that the RAM is not compatible and yet it still starts up when I press enter? Does it manage to "recalibrate" the RAM to 1.35v?
- Is there a possibility to change the configuration (I haven't found anything in the BIOS) to keep my 8GB stick which is 1.5v and no longer have this error message at the beginning?

no, it's not possible to change.
when you press enter, it doesn't boot into windows, it just goes to the bios?

No, when I press enter it starts Windows normally (after the error message) and recognizes the 8GB of RAM.
However, I still get this message every time I start the PC: "DDR3 Memory type not supported. Memory incompatible (2E3). Enter to continue."

He must manage to work with it, but you may not get the same performance as if it were adapted, or there may be system instability. I don't know. (If it's just a loss of performance, you shouldn't see much difference.) The only way is to try; you'll see over time, but to eliminate this error, you need to replace the RAM.
