Enable optical output Toshiba Regza / Home Cinema
Solved
Hello,
I did some research but I can't find a detailed answer regarding my TV/home cinema setup.
I hesitated with the HiFi forum but I think the issue lies with the TV.
I have a Toshiba Regza TV (old model 37C3030DG HD ready) which has an optical output. However, I can't find in the TV menu where and how to activate the optical output. I can only enable or disable the built-in speakers. But I haven't found anything regarding activating the digital optical output that would allow me to output sound from my various devices connected via HDMI to the TV, which then goes through the home cinema.
As for the home cinema, it's the Sony BDV E4100, although I believe the problem clearly comes from the activation on the TV. When I connect it directly to one of the devices, there are no operating issues.
Here is a link with information about the TV http://www.vente-internet.fr/37c3030dg.html
So if anyone has this model, there might be a hidden option that I haven't discovered yet!
Thanks in advance.
