Good evening.
I encountered a problem when printing a Word document.
I chose to print my document with a background image and checked the box in the options to enable printing of backgrounds and background images.
The problem is, during printing, the background prints 18 times instead of just once and for no reason, while the document prints once on the page.
I am therefore looking for a quick solution to this problem, as it is for a presentation for this Monday, April 16, 2018.

Please note that:
I am using Word 2016.
My printer is recent.
I asked a friend to print my document and he got the same result.
I am on a laptop.

I hope you can help me as soon as possible,
Sincerely,
Nicolas.

Hello,

I assume you used the Page Color button, which allows, among other things, to insert an image as a background.

However, this feature is not designed for printing, so what you are getting is normal.

To insert an image as a background and be able to print it, you need to use the Watermark button and then Custom Watermark. There you can add your image.

Hello m@arina, thank you for your response. I tried the watermark and it works, the image is just a bit too light but it's fine in a darker tone, thank you for your help.

The image is clear because it's a watermark ;))
When you go into the Watermark dialog box, you can uncheck the "Faded" option.

Moreover, the image is always clear on the screen so it doesn't interfere with typing. A watermark is just an image placed in the header, and everything in the header is clear on the screen to avoid any obstruction. When printed, the image is normal.
