Problem opening templates. Missing header and footer

Hello,
I have a problem with opening letter templates.
For the past two days, opening a new document based on a template (blank or pre-saved) results in the header and footer being removed!
Since I put personal information in the header, it's quite bothersome.
Of course, I can add them by going to "insert" "header" each time, but it's tedious, and it's definitely not normal.
Can someone explain to me how to restore the display of the header and footer upon opening a document based on the template?
Thank you in advance

Sorry, but we don't understand everything.

When you say "I need to do 'Insert' 'Header' 'edit the header'... After that, everything runs smoothly.

what does it mean? Do you have to redo the header or does your header reappear by itself??

If it's the latter, it's simply a hiding of the headers and footers. Hover your mouse over the top of the document, and when the pointer turns into a double arrow, double-click.

    Hello.

We need more explanations and details.

I just downloaded a template: it displays perfectly!

Thank you for responding to me.
I don’t know what happened or how it happened.
When I open Word, the blank template has disappeared (at least it’s no longer offered)!
And those that I saved myself (that is to say, the ones with my name and details) give me a document based on the template where the header and footer are missing.
To restore everything, I have to go to "Insert" "Header" "Edit Header"...
After which everything runs normally. But I have to apply this process for each letter!
There must be a way to restore the normal display, but what is it?

No idea: I've never seen that!
But if you send one of your files, we can examine it in detail ...
     1) Go to https://www.cjoint.com/
    2) Click on [Browse] to select your file (15 MB max)
    3) Scroll down to click on the blue button [Create Cjoint link]
    4) After a few seconds, the second page appears, with the link in bold; right-click on it and choose "Copy link"
    5) Go back to your discussion on CCM, and in your message, do "Paste".

    It works ! ! ! !
    It was exactly a masking.
I must have made a false maneuver at some point.
Since I didn't know this function, I didn't think of this solution.
    Thank you a thousand times.
I would say "I'll owe you one" but I think it would be presumptuous of me considering my level in Word.
    Thanks again

      Hello,

Just for your information, this masking allows documents to scroll more quickly, especially when they have many pages. This way, the texts flow without any blank spaces at the top or bottom.
I'm marking the post as Resolved.
