Unable to install iOS 10.0 on my iPad Mini

Hello, I have an iPad Mini and I can't update to iOS 10.0. I’ve seen online that older tablets can no longer get the new updates, is that true?? My latest version is 9.3.5 model MD528FD/A. I don't remember the year. Thank you for your response. Best regards.

    The iPad mini 1 no longer receives updates, as the development of this device has ended. The last compatible version is 9.3.5.

    Unfortunately, it is impossible to upgrade to a newer version of iOS.

      If you want to stick with the iPad mini, you can get the mini 4 or choose other models.
