Connected to Hotspot but no internet

Hello!

I have a "small" problem that I can't seem to solve even after several hours of searching the internet.

Basically, I just bought a mobile phone, a Logicom L-ite 552 HD, and I would like to use it as a hotspot for my laptop.

I’m doing the "Wi-Fi Hotspot" procedure and to make it easier, there isn’t even a password; it’s a connection that I can join easily.

So, the problem is that I am connected, my Wi-Fi signal icon is at maximum, but... I can't browse the internet.

I keep getting a "DNS Probe Finished No Internet" error on all the pages I try to visit.

I admit I don't really understand where this could be coming from, so I'm posting here, in case you have any ideas about why or how this is happening :)
Thanks in advance!

Is there nothing blocking your phone's internet data when you share?

So, I have data sharing enabled and I've also turned on data roaming (just in case, because I remember having to enable it on an old phone)
So it works on the phone, no need for Wi-Fi, I can go online thanks to the data.

So yes, it seems to be a problem with sharing, but I can't see which option could be affecting that.

I've tried sharing the connection via Wi-Fi, USB, and Bluetooth, and the issue persists in all three cases!

    (j'écris pour des futurs lecteurs)

The first things to do in case of a problem:

For Wi-Fi: Unplug your internet provider's box. To do it properly, wait 30 seconds. Plug the power back in.

For mobile data from your cellular provider/Wi-Fi: Always remember to restart your smartphone for minor issues like this.

To turn your smartphone into a receiver but especially later also as an emitter of signals (using your mobile data plan). These signals can be received by the receiver of another device such as a computer/smartphone/tablet.

    Here’s how to do it:

[the paths in the settings change continuously, but the keywords to search for are the same]

[You can find the gear and activate mobile data in the shortcut panel by tapping the signal strength logo on the phone network; on certain models, there’s actually a mobile data connection logo: two arrows pointing in different directions with a SIM card]

    1. Settings (a gear, the international icon)
    2. Activate reception (if it’s not already the case):

    Wireless and networks
    Data consumption
Look for the name of your provider (Free, Orange, SFR, etc.)
    Check mobile data

Normally, H, H+, 3G, or 4G will be displayed next to the signal strength logo received by your smartphone. The best speed is 4G obviously, but the cell tower must emit 4G signals, and your smartphone must have the appropriate receiver. (Often 3G)

    3. Wireless and networks
[It’s possible that not everything appears directly for “uncommon” items, you may need to scroll through everything (“More”)]
    4. Tethering
    5. Wi-Fi hotspot
    6. Activation (check this)
    7. Wi-Fi access point configuration
    8. (It’s better to rename it to something recognizable)
    9. Security (I advise against removing the security key)
    10. Move the slider next to the hidden characters (possibly create your key)
    11. The numbers/letters will appear (code to enter on the second device)
    12. On the device(s) that need to use the emission:
like with Wi-Fi, search for the source name and enter the security key

Has the key (long password) been entered?
Has the hardware check been done?

Have you tried connecting a different device to the computer you mentioned in the problem description? (Check the smartphone emitter)
Have you tried connecting a Wi-Fi network or another cellular source to the computer where the issue occurs? (Check the computer receiver)
To check the hardware, it’s often easier to “call a friend.”
It’s best to test with Wi-Fi emitted by a box: I assume you don’t have Wi-Fi at home, go to someone who has Wi-Fi to see if your computer can receive it (after entering the security key), breffff you get the idea ;)

Test with other smartphones/boxes to see if it works (your computer receives) with your friends' smartphones/boxes => emitter is defective or….. you don’t know how to use your phone…..
Try with different smartphones; if it also doesn’t work with them => receiver is defective (it’s even more likely if it can’t capture Wi-Fi => because it’s easier for a receiver to catch Wi-Fi).

Hello Hello, this is Earth, can you hear me? Is it working?

Already resolved? It would be nice to put down what worked.... Or that it was impossible....
